Privacy policy
ADHD Helper is an information website. We do not ask you for personal details, we run no contact or sign-up forms, and we do not sell data. We count visits with our own cookie-free counter (see Counting visits below); any other analytics run only if you accept them in the cookie banner. This page explains who is responsible, our funding position, and what your rights are.
Who operates this site
ADHD Helper is operated by Best Business Loans Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16833937), registered office Cust Hall, Toppesfield, Halstead, Essex, CO9 4EB. The company is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under reference ZC151816 and is the data controller for this site. ADHD Helper is an independent editorial, information and introducer service, not a clinic, prescriber or diagnostic provider.
What we collect
We do not collect names, email addresses or any personal details, because there are no forms or sign-ups in this version of the site. If you accept analytics in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand which pages are read and where people get stuck. These collect usage data such as pages viewed and approximate location, with IP addresses anonymised. We use this only to improve the content. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and the site works the same.
Counting visits
We count visits with our own counter, so we know how many people use the site and which pages help. It does not use cookies. It does not record your IP address or which browser you use. Your browser keeps a random code for the day, so a second visit that day is not counted twice. The code is replaced the next day. For each page we note the page, the page you came from on this site, how long it was on screen, how far down you scrolled, and whether you are on a phone, tablet or computer. On the first page of a visit we also note the website that sent you (for example a search engine) and any campaign name in the link; if you came from an advert we note only that it was an advert, not the advert's tracking code. We also note which of our buttons were shown and clicked, clicks on our phone and email links and on links to other websites (which website only), which of our links or buttons you clicked to move to another page (the link's text and where it goes, never anything you type). We also note when a file is downloaded (the file's name and type, for example a PDF or Word file) and when a copy or print button is used, never what is copied and never anything you type. In our tools, calculators and site search we also note what you type or choose and what the tool showed you, so we can see what people look for and whether the tool helped. We never note this in our enquiry forms, or in name, email, phone, address or card boxes, and anything that looks like an email address, phone number or postcode is removed before it leaves your browser. We keep these as daily counts of each entry. If you come back on a later day without following a link, your browser remembers which website first sent you (just that website's name and the date, no code), so we can see where returning visitors first found us; "Don't count me" deletes it. We do not put together the pages one person visits. We keep each day's records for up to 7 days, then keep only the daily totals. We use the counts only to improve this site and do not share them, apart from Cloudflare and Supabase, who host the data for us. The law allows this kind of counting without asking first (Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, Schedule A1, paragraph 5). To stop being counted on this site, use the "Don't count me" link at the bottom of any page. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, we don't count you at all.
Affiliate and introducer links
As of July 2026, ADHD Helper runs no live affiliate commission or introducer arrangements; our only commercial income is our own clearly labelled supplement store. If a link to a product or assessment provider is ever set up to earn us a commission, at no extra cost to you, this will be disclosed here and it will never change our editorial view. Where you follow an outbound link to a third-party site (for example an assessment provider or a store), you are taken to that party, who processes any details you give them under their own privacy policy. We do not see your payment or booking details.
Cookies and consent
Analytics run only after you accept them, using Google Consent Mode, which keeps analytics and advertising signals denied until you choose. You can change your mind by clearing cookies in your browser to be asked again. See the cookies page for detail.
International transfers
Some of our processors (for example Cloudflare, Google and, depending on region, our database and email providers) may process personal data outside the UK and European Economic Area. Where they do, we rely on an adequacy decision or on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum, together with appropriate technical safeguards, so your data receives an equivalent level of protection.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or erase any personal data, and to object to processing. As we hold no personal data about you, there is usually nothing to act on, but you can still contact us with any concern. You also have the right to complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
