How we use AI

We use modern AI tools to help with research and first drafts, the same way we use a spellchecker or a spreadsheet. They make us faster. They do not make our decisions and they do not have the final word.

• A named human reviews and signs off every published page. AI never publishes on its own, and health content is checked with extra care against trusted sources.
• AI does not give medical or clinical advice. ADHD Helper is an information and introducer service, not a clinician. Our content is general information, not personal medical advice, and it is never a diagnosis. A checklist or tool on this site can never diagnose ADHD; only a registered clinician can.
• We do not publish fabricated clinical claims, statistics or reviews. Figures and guidance are taken from primary sources such as the NHS, NICE and the Royal College of Psychiatrists, or left out. We never invent a study, a statistic or a clinical outcome.
• AI does not decide anything about your care. Where you ask, our introductions route you to an assessment provider by fit; the assessment and any diagnosis or treatment are decisions for that provider's registered clinicians, with a human in the loop.
• Personal data handled by AI tools is processed in line with our privacy notice and UK data protection law.

Our use of AI is guided by UK data protection law and the ICO's guidance on AI and automated decision-making. We do not make automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you; where AI could affect a person, a human stays in the loop, in line with the direction of AI regulation such as the EU AI Act.

Named authorship and editorial standards

Every page is written or reviewed by a named person and dated. We publish independent editorial and comparison content, not paid-for rankings, and any affiliate or sponsored material is labelled as such. Fact-checking and sources

Before a page goes live, factual and health claims are checked against primary sources, not other websites. In practice that means:

• Clinical and ADHD guidance taken from the NHS, NICE and the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
• Right to Choose and NHS process points taken from nhs.uk and gov.uk.
• Company details verified against Companies House.
• Product and tool claims kept to what the maker states, with our own view marked as opinion, not medical benefit.

Corrections

If something is wrong, tell us and we will fix it. Email [email protected] with the page address and what is incorrect. We respond within two working days. Material corrections are made and noted in a footer line on the page so the change is visible.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with our service, we want to hear about it. Email [email protected] or write to Best Business Loans Ltd, and please include your name, how to reach you, and what went wrong.

We acknowledge every complaint within five working days and aim to give a full response within four weeks. ADHD Helper provides information and introduces enquiries to assessment providers; it does not carry out assessments or provide treatment, so a complaint about an assessment, diagnosis or care needs to go to the provider that gave it, and clinical concerns should go to that provider or the NHS. We will point you to the right place if so.

Your data

We only pass your details to an assessment provider that matches your enquiry, and we tell you before we do. What we hold, why, and how to ask us to delete it is set out in our privacy notice and cookie policy.
